Activity: 
Astronomer, acting director of the new Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Astrophysics and Space Exploration (CIRAS) of the USACH. Currently, he focuses on the discovery and characterization of planets in formation. He played a key role in the development of protoplanets detection techniques, using the ALMA observatory, in particular, through perturbations in the kinematics of protoplanetary disks.
 
In addition, he has directed several cross-disciplinary projects between art and science, such as Concert Skies and Recreo Espacial. In 2015 he published the astronomy novel for children titled "Cazadores de Eclipses".
 
Doctor of Astrophysics from the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. Before joining USACH, he was a researcher at the University of Chile and a postdoc at the University of Oxford.
