Jorge Gamboa Ríos
Jorge Gamboa es Doctor en Ciencias de la Universidad de Sao Paulo (Brasil) y entre los años 1990 y 1994 realizó estadías posdoctorales en la Universidad de Zaragoza (España), el Institute de Physique Nucleaire de la Université de Paris-Sud (Orsay, Francia), y en la Universitat Siegen (Alemania).
En 1991 ganó la beca Alexander von Humboldt y en 1997 la beca John Simon Guggenheim. En 2019 obtuvo la beca de retorno de la Fundación Alexander von Humboldt para trabajar durante siete meses en el DESY (Hamburgo). El trabajo científico de Gamboa es diverso y abarca áreas tales como física-matemática, aspectos no-perturbativos de teoría cuántica de campos y materia condensada, como así también física de astropartículas y cosmología.
